Dayton Academy Tumbling
Tumbling classes at Dayton Academy consist of 1 hour of instruction on beginner through advanced tumbling skills. Our staff uses stations, drills and hand spotting to help each athlete achieve his/her goal. Tumbling classes are great for cheerleaders wishing to advance their skills for a school squad.
Beginner/Intermediate students will learn basics such as handstands, carthweels, round-offs, back and front walkovers and progress into drills for the back handspring and front handspring.
Intermediate/Advanced students have already mastered the basics and have their standing back handspring. This class teaches running tumbling series, back and front saltos (tucks, layouts and twisting).
Dayton Academy has a two spring floors, a trampoline, a 40 ft. tumbltrak with pit and a spotting rig as well as hand spotting belts to aid in teaching tumbling skills.
